A Higher Purpose

One of the quiet secrets no one ever tells you about life is that the moment there is more at stake than
just you, your whole world changes. Your drive and reason for being is newly defined. Your heart expands,
and somehow you become superhuman
in your ability to cope with life's curve balls.
You see it in people who are parents. You see it in leaders. You see it in
those who have had to overcome enormous obstacles to find meaning from their experience - people like Rick Hansen,
Michael J. Fox, Terry Fox - those who have used their gifts and circumstances to stand for something greater than
themselves.

The beauty is that we each have that choice. I believe every one of
us is more capable than we can imagine -
if we are willing to commit ourselves and stand for a higher purpose and meaning
in our lives.
What is the contribution you are here to make? What is the cause or calling
that is worthy of your life? How do you want to be remembered?
This month, I urge you to look and see what you care so deeply about that you would consider putting your life on the
line…and consider that whether you are in action or not, your life is already at stake! |
